We recommend annual check-ups with our trained Practice Nurses to monitor your condition.
This clinic is held at the Creations Childerns Centre by the midwife team. Telephone No 01422 251095.
Appointments are available on a Friday mornings for this and are carried out by the Practice Nurse, where you will also see the Podiatrist in clinic. These appointments can be made by either calling the surgery or one of our members of the team will give you a call to book the appointment.
All patients over 75 years of age are offered an annual health assessment. This is usually carried out by a Practice Nurse.
Annual clinics are established to vaccinate against influenza and commence in October for the over 65s. The vaccination is recommended for the elderly and those with diabetes, asthma, chronic respiratory or heart disease, renal disease, immuno-compromised, splenectomy or in long stay residential accommodation.
Undertaken by the Practice Nurse. This is carried out to check compliance with current repeat prescriptions along with health checks to ensure no adverse effects. This enables the Practice Nurse to check medication and treatment are in line with current best practice.
Additional medical services provided include: childhood immunisations, minor surgery, I.U.C.D. (coil) fitting, Implant fitting, Influenza and Pneumococcal vaccinations. These services are commissioned by Calderdale CCG.
Well Baby Clinic
This weekly clinic runs on Wednesdays 1pm – 2.30pm at the Creations children’s centre attached to Ling Bob school.
Contraceptive advice and services are available at the Practice. Appointments can be arranged with the Doctor or Practice Nurse. Coil and Implanon fitting and emergency contraception are also available. Cervical smears are recommended every five years for women aged 50 to 64 years and every 3 years for women aged 25 to 49.
Blood pressure checks and health screening is available to ALL patients and can be arranged with the Practice Nurse.
The Practice offers a service to offer advice and support patients who wish to stop smoking.

Minor Ailments Scheme
The Practice operate this scheme to improve access to healthcare professionals. This scheme enables you to see the Pharmacist for advice and treatment on some minor illness including; coughs and colds, athletes foot, hay fever, constipation and cold sores. You can register for this service and obtain further information at reception.
You are entitled to free medication on this scheme if you are exempt from NHS charges normally.
Minor Surgery Clinics
Dr Geetha carries out minor surgery clinics on Tuesdays here at the Practice in our new minor surgery suite. Referral to the clinic is made via GP.
Dr Geetha carries out this procedure in our new surgery suite and is accompanied by the practice nurse and healthcare assistant. This clinic is run on a Tuesday morning and referrals to the clinic are made by the GP. To book into this clinic, please call: 01422 330860, Option 2.
