Mr. Mobasher HussainAdvanced Clinical Practitioner

A pharmacist who has undertaken further training and is able to prescribe, assist with minor ailments, carry out medication reviews and make clinical referrals.

Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner

Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioners specialise in muscular and joint pains. They are able to clinically assess, offer appropriate advice and exercise. The specialist can also refer you to a GP, or on to the hospital if appropriate.

North Halifax Primary Care Network

As our practice is part of the North Halifax Primary Care Network we also have other clinicians who provide care for our patients. These clinicians incluse Musculoskeletal Practitioners who specialist in muscle and joint related problems, Physiotherapists and Clinical Pharmacists

Practice Management

The management team are employed by the Practice and are responsible for the general day to day running of the Surgery.

This includes: patient services, practice and staff development, financial management, human resources, premises management and information technology.

Clinical Administration

Clinical administrators are employed to ensure all patient data is integrated into medical records. Their role involves all aspects of medical record management including; processing prescription requests, recording clinical investigations, clinical coding of medical records and electronic summarizing of medical records.  A lead clinical administrator is employed to develop and implement clinical pathways, templates and protocols in line with local and national service requirements.

Patient Advisors 

A morning and afternoon team of patient advisors perform a key role in providing a comprehensive reception and administrative support service for the practice. All patient advisors are trained to process repeat prescriptions. In addition, we have members of staff who have advanced training to deal with more complex prescription enquiries. We are currently training two new patient advisors and therefore, would be very grateful for your patience while they are going through their induction period.

Secretarial 

A team of medical secretaries provide administrative support at the Practice. Their work includes: processing referrals and letters via the Choose & Book system, preparing reports and patient information for appropriate healthcare professionals and processing private work such as copy medical records, etc.
